City Slicker Farms is constructing a new market farm at the City of Oakland Fitzgerald and Union Plaza Parks. Our partnership with the City of Oakland Office of Parks and Recreation represents the first community market farm to be developed on Oakland parkland. This will be used as a model to explore how best to use parkland to grow produce for the community, specifically for those who have the least access to fresh fruits and vegetables.
